9th Agrovision was spread over an area of 25,000 sqm. There was approximately 3,500 sqm open space for the display and demonstrations of tractors, various machineries etc. Over 350 large to medium and small enterprises from agri. sector displayed their products and services in Expo. Grass root level innovators were the added attraction for the visiting farmers.
A special pavilion by department of Animal Husbandry GoM was the main attraction this year. Animal Husbandry department had arranged the display of various breeds of cows like Devni, Lal Kandhari, Khilla, Gavlau, Red Sindhi, Marparkar, Pangnur, Sahiwal, Gir, Concrej, Jercy and also buffalos like Nagpuri, Pandharpuri, Murha were available at the pavilion. Beside this there were some breeds of goats like Osmanabadi, Sirohi, Jamnabadi for the display.
Various types of machines and equipment required for farming activity, different technologies like Bio-Technology, Micro-Irrigation, Shadenet, Cold Storage, Earthmover, Tractors, Power Tiller, Automatic Equipment, Solar Equipment, Growth Regulators, Agri Publications etc. were displayed at the Exhibition.
Lakhs of farmers got incredible exposure by witnessing new products, services, technologies, irrigation systems, input, output, equipment etc. It broadened their outlook and thought process to use these products for enhancing the yield of their farm. Response to the exhibition was phenomenal as over 5 lakh farmers visited the expo particularly from Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, MP, Telangana, AP and also from far away states like Orissa, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, UP, Bihar etc. It was an enriching and enlightening experience for them as they took back enormous knowledge to improve their farming practices.
