Free Workshops for Farmers :
Workshops are the special feature of Agrovision with an objective to Educate, Encourage and Empower the Farmers. The workshops segment was inaugurated on 11th November at the hands of Shri. Virender Singh Mast, President, Kisan Morcha, BJP & HonÂ’ble MP of Badohi, Uttar Pradesh; Shri Girish Bapat HonÂ’ble Minister of Drugs Administration, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Affairs, GoM was the guest of Honour at this program. Many dignitaries of Kisan Morcha were present on the dais. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Chief Patron of Agrovision presided over the program.
In his speech, Shri Virender Singh Mast said that he being from the farming community is well aware of the various issues of the farmers and farming sector. Indian economy is stood on the strong base of agriculture and therefore could not get eliminated like many other cultures in the world. Further he said that exhibition, workshops and seminars like Agrovision create a platform for the farmers to exchange dialogue with various experts, scientist and policymakers. This gives them a confidence of a support system for their betterment and growth.
Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, HonÂ’ble Union Minister for State (IC) Ministry of Ayush, GoI was the Chief Guest at the workshop on Medicinal and Aromatic plantation which was held on 14th November.
Workshops at Agrovision are the main attraction for the farming community. Farming community and especially the new generation is taking lot of interest to create farming a financially viable profession. They are very keen to adopt new farming systems and learn about innovative ways for better yield. Agrovision workshops have become their guiding force. Workshops on Live Stock management, new farming systems, horticulture, floriculture are the most well received workshops by the farmers.
Over 30 Workshops were conducted by over 52 experts from ICAR Institutes, Agri universities and industry to educate the farmers on large number of topics. In addition to this 20 successful farmers shared their success stories.

The topics were selected under the guidance of Dr. C.D. Mayee, Chairman, Agrovision - Advisory Council and Former Chairman of Agriculture Scientists Recruitment Board (ICAR) and other Advisory Council Members. The topics were selected considering the requirements of agriculture and farming community from Central India
