Free Workshops for Farmers

Workshops have always been the special feature of Agrovision with an objective to Educate, Encourage and Empower the Farmers. In Agrovision, 26 workshops were organized on important topics like - Export Quality Production of Citrus and Banana Bamboo Cultivation, Enhancing Productivity of Traditional Rain fed Oilseed Crops, Empowering Farmers through Market Reforms, Crop Residue Management Options and Biofuel Generation from Agri-Waste, Food Processing, Poultry Production in Vidarbha: Opportunities and Challenges, Supply Chain Management in Agriculture Produce, Scope of Sustainable Agro Tourism in Vidarbha Region, Sugarcane Productivity and profitability of Sugarcane Farming, Bee Keeping, Dairy - Mechanization for small farmer, Turmeric and Ginger, Sericulture, Goat and Sheep, Agri Finance, Floriculture. Organic Farming, Group Farming etc. were organized. Workshops were addressed by over 44 experts from the agriculture field. All the workshops were well attended by farmers and around 50,000 farmers attended the workshops.

The topics were selected under the guidance of Dr. C.D. Mayee, Chairman, Agrovision - Advisory Council and Former Chairman of Agriculture Scientists Recruitment Board (ICAR) and other Advisory Council Members. The topics were selected considering the requirements of agriculture and farming community from Central India.
